Billy Courtney - Editor and Graphic Artist
Billy is passionate about Energy Magazine and has loved watching it grow from only a small handful of subscribers to almost 10,000. She greatly appreciates all of the contributors that have helped to make the magazine what it is today.
Billy was raised in sunny San Diego, California but has recently moved to San Antonio, deep in the heart of Texas (as they say). She has yet to adjust to the slower pace of the south, but is enjoying life with her husband and many pets which include: one Chihuahua, two cats, a turtle, and a gecko. Billy is a graphic artist with a keen creative sense for color, design and layout.
She enjoys making things look beautiful. When she is not in front of the computer, Billy enjoys spending time with friends, sewing, gardening, eating chocolate, and being outdoors |

Nancy Strick - Assistant Editor
Nancy has always loved to read so editing articles for Energy Magazine “is pure fun”. Originally from Shamokin, Pennsylvania where she and her husband, Mike, attended the same grade school, Hudson, Ohio has been their home for almost 30 years. Her nursing background serves her well as both a Healing Touch practitioner and instructor. She took her first HT class in Cincinnati in 1997 and now she and Mike frequently drive there to visit their three children and two grandchildren. “We get grumpy if we don’t see Evelyn and Ian every 4-6 weeks.” In her spare time she is actively involved in her church choir and as a cantor and soloist. |

Margaret Nies - Chief in Charge of Getting Things Done
Margaret was not born in Colorado but after living there for too many years to mention she has grown addicted to open spaces, vistas and high desert. She has been told she has two speeds, either “full tilt” or asleep. Just like a cat she thinks she has nine lives, and has definitely not used them all up at this point. Margaret is the driving force behind Energy Magazine and is always full of new and exciting ideas. Downtime means hiking, reading, being creative or spending time with her sisters. With a passion for the outdoors, she can never get too much of sunshine, plants, animals or weather. |
